Why the Gap in Posts?

Kari and I spent 30 days in Alaska, that's why...

Husk, Minero's, Husk Bar x 2

It was a very Sean Brock time for the last few days.  We headed to Husk Bar and then Husk for dinner (all 4 Ox and Brock peeps).  We made a pretty good tour through the menu, and discovered a few things along the way:

1.  The Pig Ear Lettuce Wraps are still amazing
2.  The Husk Bar cocktail menu continues to change, and continues to be awesome
3.  They have Westbrook Mexican Cake in bombers













4.  Go NOW to enjoy this awesome beer while it lasts
5.  Anything Sean Brock makes with the word "pork" in the title will rock

6.  You can get a vegetable plate skillet which is great (but not on the menu)

7.  You can't go wrong with anything on the menu - okay, we already knew that!








Kari and I hit Minero's and Husk Bar today...

1.  The burrito is till huge and delicious
2.  The carnitas tacos are the best thing on the menu
3.  We've been here enough that we didn't try anything new
4.  Ham on a Barrel Stave is the thing to have at the bar










5.  Barrel Aged Manhattan never disappoints.
6.  Kari and I can make a dinner out of 1 cheeseburger, ham on a stave, and lots of cocktails

Seriously.  If you haven't been, GO!

Oh, and we saw Bill Murray rocking a Cubs shirt on the street.
